Supporting National Apprenticeship Week 2025

National Apprenticeship Week, NAW, 10th – 16th of February, is the biggest week in the apprenticeship calendar, and aims to unite the entire apprenticeship community to celebrate everything about apprenticeships. The week-long event highlights the benefits and opportunities apprenticeships create and helps bring together apprentices, employers, training providers, teachers and careers advisers.

We currently have four apprentices at Arrow working at three of our locations, all at different stages in their apprenticeship journey. Richard joined us in 2022 and is based at our Wakefield branch and in his final year. Jay is in his second year at our Huddersfield branch and we have two new apprentices, Reece and Harrison, in their first year.

All four apprentices are working towards a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician qualification which takes three years to complete. They all attend Kirklees College in Huddersfield and their week consists of four days in the workshop and one day at college. College time is both classroom and workshop based.

Our apprentices are supported by very experienced, fully qualified mechanics who have a wealth of knowledge to share.  Passing on experience and skills first hand is how we like to do things and gives our new staff real insights and support for their career progression.

Apprenticeships play a big role in our company, providing opportunities for young people to learn skills, grow their confidence and become valued members of our team and community.  We are highly supportive of #NAW2025, encouraging new talent into businesses across the country and highlighting just what an apprentice scheme can offer.
