The year that was

2024 was a great year for Arrow and our teams across the region.  We have much to think back on and experiences to take forward.

Over the course of the year the British Vehicle Renting & Leasing Association, BVRLA, Audits took place at every depot in our network, and we are delighted that all locations passed with flying colours.

The BVRLA inspectors spent time at each depot completing a thorough inspection and meeting with each depot manager to discuss the facility in detail.

The inspection covered the following areas:

❖ Customer Experience

❖ BVRLA Code of Conduct

❖ Legal Advisories

❖ Vehicle Rental Process (both indoor & outdoor)

❖ Vehicle Maintenance Process

Our customers can be reassured that we are fully compliant and providing the highest levels of service.

In our workshops additional equipment was installed including fabulous new ramps from TotalKare which enables us to be even more efficient, with quicker turnarounds and minimised vehicle downtime, keeping all our customers on the road.

We also had our ISO9001 surveillance audit, the international standard for quality management systems.  2024 was an interim audit and we passed with flying colours. Additional peace of mind for our customers.

Our fleet of vehicles, from small city cars to 18 tonne trucks, is constantly being updated. We now have over 2000 vehicles to suit every purpose including specialist wheelchair access vehicles and ambulance passenger transport vehicles, minibuses and people carriers.

We were delighted to welcome ten new employees to our Arrow family, including technicians, sales team members and apprentices.  Arrow is family owned and managed and we have been growing our business, offering life-long career opportunities since 1987.

On a community front, we ran our annual charity Golf day in June 2024 at Crossland Heath Golf Club, near Huddersfield.  It was a fabulous day with lots of sunshine and some great golf skills put to practice.  We raised over £1000 with all the proceeds going to the Forget Me Not children’s charity based in Huddersfield, our chosen charity.

For families in West Yorkshire who are facing or living with the loss of their child, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice not only provides outstanding clinical care – but also a helping hand, listening ear and a place for families to be together. We are delighted to support them in their urgent appeal to raise funds.

As we look forward to another great year, we have some exciting things in the pipeline so watch this space for more news.
